Nithya Menen's upcoming bilingual film Malini 22 Vijayawada is all set for release on January 22 announced the filmmakers. A remake of the hit Malayalam film 22 Female Kottayam, the film is releasing simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu languages.
Nithya is playing a rape victim who avenges her rapists. Krish J Sathaar is playing the female lead in the movie directed by yesteryear actress Sripriya. Actor Naresh is playing a pivotal role in the movie.
"We had a great time shooting for the movie. The entire unit was like one big family. I loved the original film, and was excited to be a part of the movie. We all did our best and hoping that the movie will appeal to the audiences," shares Nithya.
Talking about her co-star Krish, she says, "Although he is a newcomer, he is not new to acting and has been part of Broadway as well. So he was really good at what he did and it never really felt like I was acting with a newcomer."
