Ace director Mani Ratnam has put an end to all the speculation with the announcement of an action flick. The upcoming project will be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, which will have Tollywood star Mahesh Babu in the lead. Confirming the news, Mahesh Babu's wife and former actress Namrata Shirodkar said that the actor and director are in the talks.
However, nothing has been finalized yet. After 'Kadal', there have been a lot of speculation on what will be the director's next project. Now we hear that he had three projects in mind, and chose this one first; the other two being 'Lajjo' revival and a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual with Fahadh Faasil. It is worth mentioning that Mani Ratnam and Mahesh Babu were to work together two years back on the film adaptation of the classic novel 'Ponniyin Selvan', and the actor had even mentioned that it is his dream to work with Mani Ratnam. But the project is stalled for the moment, and the upcoming one is an action flick.
