Nivin Pauly will play a village cricketer in photographer turned director Abrid Shine’s 1983.
The film was completed last year and was waiting for the distributor.
Shine says that “Lal Jose, who saw the film, showed interest in distributing it and 1983 will reach the theatres on Jan 31.”
The film’s audio launch was done by Aashiq Abu and Rima Kallingal. Anoop Menon plays a cricket player turned coach in the story. Nikki, the younger sister of Kannada actor Sanjjana, plays the heroine.
Nivin Pauly has sported various looks for the film, which includes that of a school kid.
